Teen boy arrested for online threats linked to school stabbing

A TEENAGE boy has been arrested for allegedly making threats online related to the recent stabbing incident at Ysgol Dyffryn Aman, where three people were injured.

Following reports of threatening messages on social media, Dyfed-Powys Police searched the teenager’s home in the Cross Hands area.

The arrest happened early this morning, Thursday, April 25, and the boy is currently in custody.

Superintendent Ross Evans thanked the public for reporting concerns about the online messages. Their quick action allowed the police to act swiftly.

“While this investigation is separate from our inquiry into the stabbing at Ysgol Dyffryn Aman,” Superintendent Evans said, “our officers will check the credibility of the threats and any possible connection to the alleged offences.”

He also urged people not to speculate or share images or videos related to either case and to let the police do their job.

Superintendent Evans advised anyone distressed by these events, especially children, to seek support from appropriate agencies.
