AN ALDI colleague in Swansea is celebrating his work anniversary after 20 years at the UK’s fourth-largest supermarket.
Steve Carmody, Store Manager at Aldi’s Fforestfach Store in Swansea, first joined the business in 2004 after switching from another supermarket where he was a Deputy Store Manager.
Steve was promoted to Store Manager at Aldi in 2017 and has since worked across several stores in the region, including Llandeilo Road in Crosshands, and Carmarthen Road in Swansea.
Steve is an integral part of Aldi’s Swansea team and has gone above and beyond in his role over the years. In 2018, he took part in the Cardiff Half Marathon to raise money for the supermarket’s dedicated charity, Teenage Cancer Trust, while he also consistently goes the extra mile to help customers in any way he can.
Speaking of his time at Aldi, Steve commented: “I’m so proud to have been a part of Aldi’s team for so many years and it is a really rewarding environment to work in.
“Not only is Aldi committed to being the best paying supermarket, but the business also always looks to help and support colleagues and customers wherever it can.”
As for a Specialbuy that gets him running to the middle aisle, Steve said: “There are too many good products to choose just one – the best thing is there is a new one I love every week!”
