Drug dealer jailed for four years

CALLUM WATTS, from Tredegar, was arrested for a driving offence on December 31 and was found to be in possession of a mobile phone that contained drug-related messages, showing his involvement in Class A supply.

The investigation revealed that the 24-year-old was running an established Class-A drugs line across Pontypridd and the Rhondda Valleys.

On Wednesday (15 February), Watts appeared at Cardiff Crown Court and pleaded guilty to the supply of Class A drugs and a driving offence. He was sentenced to four years in prison.

Detective Sergeant Lia Jones said: “We will always be relentless in our efforts to tackle drug supply and all forms of organised criminality which affects the communities that we serve.

“This case is just one example of how our Organised Crime Unit in Mid Glamorgan is tackling drug dealing in the community.

“We can, and regularly do, act upon the information provided to us by the public, so please keep it coming.

“Anyone with suspicions or information about illegal drug supply is urged to contact us.”
