TWO POLICEMEN 54-year-old Stephen Greensmith from Bronwydd and 37-year-old Rhys James from Abergwili are alleged to have, contrary to common law, misconducted themselves in a way which amounted to an abuse of the public’s trust in the office holder.They are alleged to have done this between July 5 and August 23 last year by supplying a controlled drug of Class B to a person as an incentive to provide information and thereafter failing to follow correct police procedures in Llanpumpsant.
Neither of the defendants entered pleas, but indicated that they will plead not guilty when they appear at Swansea Crown Court on June 20.
Both were released on bail until their Crown Court appearance on the condition that they do not contact prosecution witnesses.
