Cian was air lifted to hospital with serious injuries following the crash.
Mr Evans said: “If anybody is thinking of flowers, please consider making a small donation to the Air Ambulance Wales instead – without them, Cian wouldn’t be here today.
“It’s not been an easy week and I would not have got through it without such an amazing group of friends, family and the support from people I’ve never even met.”
They were expecting their second child, Cari, a in a few weeks.
“Thank you to everybody who has sent cards, messages, gifts for Cian and supplies while we were in hospital. I cannot thank you all enough and will do my best to reply to everyone,” he continued.
