Sonay Delight after Brighton Player’s Wimbledon Win

Sonay Kartal – The Brighton and Hoven Tennis Player won her second match in 3 days at Wimbledon on Friday, 5 July. After this, she has set up a plum tie to face world number two Coco Gauff in the coming match.

Kartal won 6-3 5-7 6-3. The 22-year-old fantastic tennis player ranked 295, beat Clara Burel of France, currently ranked 45, in a three-set thriller on Wednesday, July 3.

She faced an undisclosed health issue in previous years, but she has now overcome that problem and has been selected for this championship.

The tournament started with her win over the Romanian 29th-ranked Sorana Cirstea by beating her with 3-6 6-2 6-0.

This victory has put her in the last 32, making her everyone’s favourite in the US Open Champion. This happened after a year of her first-round defeat by 25th seed Madison Keys.

The head teacher of Sonay’s old school in Brighton said that she still plays at the Pavilion and Avenue Tennis Club in Hove-Brighton and is an inspiration.

Rachelle Otulakowski also said at this moment:

“We are feeling huge proud while seeing Sonay for going into the third round of Wimbledon. This makes her a true example for the young generation, and she teaches them how hard work and determination pay off. We encourage her on this wonderful win.”

Talking about Kartal’s history, she started playing tennis at the age of 6 years. Throughout her childhood, she saw her older brother playing tennis. She is of Turkish descent from her father.

Sonay’s career achievements reveal that she is ranked world No. 195 in singles and No. 559 in doubles. Since 2019, she has been playing on the ITF Circuit and won nine ITF singles titles.

In November 2021, Kartal defeated Amarissa Toth in Antalya to win her first title. She defeated world No. 40 Ayumi Morita in the Monastir to win her second title

Kartal also won a match with Freya Christie for the women’s UK Pro League title. At the end of 2021, she was ranked 993rd.

Sonay Kartal built on her success in late 2021 and early 2022. She won her third championship at the $25k Birmingham event and defeated her countrymate Talia Neilson Gatenby in three sets. She also won over Czech player Barbora Palicová in Glasgow for a second straight $25k title.

Parliamentary Office of Science and Technology UK has stated, “Lifestyle modifications and training regimens are great contributors to maintaining the players’ success.”

Players like Sonay Kartal are looking for a great career and pursuing it with healthy eating habits. They also avoid exposing their lungs to harmful chemical components, quit smoking by choosing Vape Kits like Smok Vape, and maintain physical stamina, which greatly boosts strength and helps them practice efficiently.

Everyone expects Brighton’s star- Kartal- to face Gauff in Centre Court. As a junior, she was Emma Raducanu’s main competitor. But now the former US Open champion has followed her to the third round.

It’s a moment of great achievement that one of the British women is guaranteed to join them. Nottingham Open champion Katie Boulter competed with Harriet Dart. And Lily Miyazaki will face 14th seed Daria Kasatkina. Let’s see what happens at the end of this tournament.
