Police want to speak with this women after 14 year old girl assaulted on train

Officers have released an image from CCTV footage in a plea to the public

A 14-year-old girl was reportedly assaulted while travelling on a train in North Wales, according to British Transport Police. The incident occurred on the evening of Friday, 30th August, aboard a service travelling from Colwyn Bay to Rhyl.

Police have stated that the girl was struck in the head by a woman during the journey. The alleged assault took place at approximately 8:20pm, shortly before the woman left the train at Rhyl station.

As part of their investigation, officers have released a CCTV image of a woman they believe could provide crucial information regarding the incident. In an official statement, British Transport Police said: “Officers would like to speak to the woman pictured as they believe she may have information which could help with their investigation.”

The police are appealing to the public for any assistance that may help them identify the suspect and further their inquiries.
