Easter fun for children at Bellway developments in South Wales

HOMEBUILDER Bellway held fun Easter events at two of its developments in Wales at the weekend.

Stilt walkers brought Alice in Wonderland-themed fun to the events at Parc Mawr in Penllergaer, near Swansea and at Longwood Grange in Lisvane, near Cardiff.

Both events took place in the afternoon on Saturday 12 April and youngsters from two local schools – Penllergaer Primary School and Llysfaen Primary School – were invited to enter an art competition with gift vouchers as prizes.

Bellway Wales Head of Sales Daniel Shone said: “Our Easter events provided children from the communities near our Parc Mawr and Longwood Grange developments with plenty of fun and, of course, some Easter eggs to enjoy over the holidays.

“They put a lot of imagination into the drawings they brought along, and our sales offices will look very colourful with the pictures on display over the Easter break.”

Infant-age pupils were invited to enter Easter-themed pictures, while there was a House of the Future theme for juniors. Pupils visiting with their families on the day brought along their pictures and every entrant received an Easter egg. A winner from infants and juniors at each school will be selected and will receive a £25 gift voucher.

Sarah Burns, Headteacher at Penllergaer Primary School said: “Children from Penllergaer had a truly memorable Easter break, thanks to a fun-filled event organised in collaboration between Bellway and Penllergaer School.

“The Easter-themed celebration featured a vibrant arts and colouring competition, where many of our talented learners showcased their creativity.

“The event was brought to life with whimsical entertainment inspired by Alice in Wonderland, including enchanting stilt walkers that delighted children and families alike.

“Guests were also treated to a variety of Easter-themed snacks — which proved to be a hit with attendees, both young and old. It was a fantastic day of creativity, community spirit, and seasonal fun — an egg-cellent way to celebrate Easter!”

Melanie Jenkins, Headteacher at Llysfaen Primary School, said: “Huge thanks to Bellway Homes for partnering with Llysfaen Primary School to create a memorable Easter event for our children.

“Our youngest children loved creating their own Easter-themed artwork and our children in the juniors enjoyed the challenge of designing a ‘house of the future’.

“Everyone enjoyed taking their artwork to Longwood Grange and joining in the Alice in Wonderland-themed Easter festivities. What a super end to our spring term!”
