Sam Rowlands MS urges constituents to take extra care of their pets during the Summer months

SAM ROWLANDS, Member of the Welsh Parliament for North Wales, is backing a call for dog owners to look after their pets during hot weather.

With temperatures continuing to rise, the RSPCA is reminding dog owners to take extra care to protect their pets’ welfare.

Mr Rowlands, a dog owner, supports the call to never leave a dog in a car on a hot day and always be careful around walking them during spells of warm weather.

He said: “I am a great supporter of the work of the RSPCA and more than happy to help raise awareness on this issue to ensure the welfare of our pets.

“We are currently in the grip of a hot spell of weather so this message acts as a timely reminder for this time of the year and I would urge my constituents to be aware.”
