FERRYSIDE Post Office has opened (June 16) at a new location – CK Foodstores, Eva Terrace, Ferryside, Carmarthenshire, SA17 5TD.
This has restored service to the community after the branch closed in April 2023 due to the resignation of the postmaster.
Relocated Ferryside Post Office has a Post Office counter alongside the retail counter of the convenience store.
Similar services as before are still available, however excluding Euro & Dollar Travel Money and Vehicle Tax.
Available services include stamps and mail including Parcelforce, everyday banking, bill payment and top ups and foreign currency on pre-order and Post Office Travelmoney card.
The opening hours are Monday, Wednesday and Friday: 9.30am – 12.30pm & 1 – 4pm; Saturday: 9.30am – 12.30pm. This provides 21 hours of Post Office service a week.
Post Office Area Change Manager, Fiona Shanahan, said: “We are delighted to have restored Post Office services to Ferryside as we know how important a Post Office is to a community.”
