THE WELSH Liberal Democrats have welcomed today’s announcement by the Welsh Government on the significant expansion of the Flying Start programme.
Jane Dodds, Leader of the Welsh Liberal Democrats, said: “This announcement shows where the priorities of the Welsh Liberal Democrats lie and what we can achieve in the Senedd.
“But this is just the beginning. We will continue to campaign for free childcare for all children in Wales aged 9 months to 4 years. Welsh parents deserve the right support to give them greater freedom and flexibility in their lives.”
The party has long championed early years support and believes that universal access to childcare is essential for tackling inequality, supporting working families, and giving every child the best start in life.
