Together for Tomorrow campaign calls on Pembrokeshire to support hospice care at home

Paul Sartori Foundation urges communities, businesses and families to help build a more compassionate future

THE PAUL Sartori Foundation is calling on communities across Pembrokeshire to come together to help secure compassionate, dignified end-of-life care for everyone who needs it, now and in the years to come.

Through its Together for Tomorrow 2026 campaign, the charity is urging people to act today to protect the choice for patients to receive care at home, at a time when palliative care provision across the county is becoming increasingly limited.

The Paul Sartori Foundation is Pembrokeshire’s only Hospice at Home service, providing a wide range of free care and support to people living with life-limiting illnesses, as well as their families. Its services include specialist home nursing care, complementary therapies, advance care planning, bereavement support and counselling, training, and a practical equipment loan service – all designed to help people remain at home, supported and comfortable.

The Together for Tomorrow campaign brings together Paul Sartori nurses and staff, volunteers, supporters, fundraisers, local businesses and official organisations. The charity says it is not simply about asking for donations, but about communities working together to look after families at one of the most critical times in their lives.

Local businesses and organisations are being encouraged to step forward as Corporate Care Champions. During 2025, support from the South Hook LNG Community Fund, managed by PAVS, provided £1,000 to purchase 40 branded fleeces for the charity’s event volunteers. This was complemented by funding from the Port of Milford Haven Community Fund, which enabled the purchase of 30 branded polo shirts, helping volunteers feel visible, supported and valued.

Community fundraising continues to sit at the heart of the campaign. The Slipway Ukes have chosen Paul Sartori as their Charity of the Year for the third consecutive year in 2026, raising funds through uplifting ukulele concerts across Pembrokeshire. In March 2026, they will join forces with Pembrokeshire Pop Voices and Footbridge for a special fundraising concert at Regency Hall on Saturday, March 28.

Individual generosity also plays a vital role. The Redding family recently donated £2,000 in gratitude for the care provided to the late Sydney Redding. The donation enabled the charity to purchase a brand-new specialist bed, which will support patients to receive high-quality care in their own homes.

Speaking on behalf of the family, Claire Redding said: “We were surprised how affordable it was to pay back Paul Sartori for what they have done for us as a family.”

Others have chosen to give back through personal challenges, from running the Tenby 10K or the Cardiff Half Marathon, to taking on more daring feats. In autumn 2025, a group of thrill-seeking supporters completed the highest tandem skydive in the UK, raising more than £7,000 for hospice at home services.

For those who prefer to give quietly, regular monthly donations provide steady funding that allows the charity to plan ahead and continue delivering specialist care in people’s homes.

The Paul Sartori Foundation also offers Future Care Planning services, helping individuals and families think ahead about their healthcare wishes and ensuring compassionate end-of-life care can continue for generations to come.

The charity says the Together for Tomorrow campaign shows that whether support comes from a business, a community group or an individual, every contribution helps ensure care is there when it is needed most – now and in the future.
