Free tickets now available as organisers prepare for thousands of visitors at national event
THERE is just one month to go until Wales National Armed Forces Day 2026 takes place at Pembrey Country Park, with organisers urging visitors to secure their free tickets ahead of the event.
The national celebration, which will be held on Saturday, June 27, is expected to attract thousands of people from across Wales as communities come together to recognise the contribution of serving personnel, veterans and their families.
Organised by Carmarthenshire County Council in partnership with the Welsh Government and the three Armed Services – the Army, Royal Navy and Royal Air Force – the event has also received support from the Ministry of Defence.
Although entry is free, organisers are encouraging attendees to book tickets online before the day. Those who arrive without tickets will still be admitted.
A full programme of activities will run from 11.30am until 7.30pm, beginning with a parade led by the Band of the Royal Welsh before an official opening ceremony.
Visitors can expect more than 50 stalls, military displays, family-friendly activities and live entertainment throughout the day.
One of the highlights is set to be a display by the Royal Air Force Falcons Parachute Display Team, although organisers have warned that the performance will be dependent on weather conditions.
The celebrations will continue into the evening with a free concert from 5.30pm until 7.30pm. Performers include Newshan, former and current Loud Applause Rising Stars members Lauren Williams and Liam J Edwards, a finalist in S4C’s Y Llais in 2025.
West End performer Samuel Wyn Morris will headline the concert.
Carmarthenshire County Council Leader Cllr Linda Evans said: “On behalf of Carmarthenshire County Council, I’m delighted to support Wales National Armed Forces Day 2026.
“This is a fantastic opportunity for us all to come together, honour the brave men and women who serve and those who have served, and enjoy a day filled with activities, music and celebration in the wonderful surroundings of Pembrey Country Park.
“I encourage everyone across the county and Wales to join us and show their support for the Armed Forces.”
She added: “We’re very grateful to everyone, including the Armed Forces, Welsh Government and Armed Forces communities across the county, who are supporting us in organising this event.”
Parking charges will apply at Pembrey Country Park for visitors who are not annual permit holders, although parking vouchers will be available for serving Armed Forces personnel and veterans.
The event is held in a different part of Wales each year and is one of the largest Armed Forces celebrations in the country.

Further information, including ticket bookings, parking arrangements, camping availability and the full programme, is available through the event organisers.
