A FIRM fixture of Cardigan’s town centre is soon to be on the move!
Tŷ Hafan’s charity shop, which has been trading in its current location in Cardigan town centre for 22 years, will be moving into new premises.
The charity outlet, which sells high quality pre-loved items to raise vital funds to support children with life-shortening conditions and their families, will be moving into 25 High St, Cardigan SA43 1JG.
Maree Thomas, Regional Sales Manager for Tŷ Hafan, said: “The last day of trading in our old premises at 2 Pendre will be Saturday 4 July.
“And on Friday, July 10 we will officially open our lovely new store and we’d love as many people as possible to join us at our new store from 10.30am for our grand opening at 11am.
“Our Cardigan Shop has been in its current location since 2004, but, in fact, Tŷ Hafan has had a presence on the High Street for 30 plus years, with its roots coming from one of Tŷ Hafan’s very first fundraising groups.
“Tŷ Hafan’s charity shop is a well-loved and established part of Cardigan’s community, well-supported by shoppers and donors alike and currently boasts no less than 16 volunteers.
“We’re always looking for more people to volunteer for us though, and we will need more volunteers for our new store, so if anyone is interested in volunteering for us then please email [email protected] or call 02920 532255.”
Relocation into larger, more modern premises is not the only change on the horizon for Tŷ Hafan’s Cardigan shop.
The new premises also boasts a dedicated drop off area to the rear of the shop, making it much easier for people travelling by car to donate their pre-loved items. Plus Tŷ Hafan’s new Cardigan shop will also be open on Sundays, unlike the existing store which only trades from Monday to Saturday.
“So we hope everyone will put a date in their diaries to come and join us at 10.30am on Friday, July 10 as we celebrate the opening of our new shop at 11am,” says Maree Thomas.
“There will be speeches, entertainments and treats to enjoy, plus our new store will be packed with exciting and affordable finds which support sustainable fashion and sustainability in general.
“And with every donation and purchase helping to ensure that no family lives their child’s short life alone, you really can’t go wrong.”
