A RESIDENTIAL road in Bridgend County Borough is set to be temporarily closed this month while civil works are carried out.
A public notice said Pyle Inn Way, Pyle will be temporarily closed for a day in July in the interest of public safety, while BT Openreach carry out the works.
The published order said this is anticipated to be carried out between the hours of 9.30am and 2.30pm on July 14, 2026.
The order said: “No person shall cause any vehicle to proceed for approximately 20 meters of Pyle Inn Way from its junction with B4281 Ffald Road.
“The alternative route for vehicles is Route 1 – Via B4281 Ffald Road, Pisgah Street, Bridge Street, Croft Coch Road, Abbey Road, Pyle Inn Way and vice versa.
“Route 2 – Via B4281 Ffald Road, Pyle Road, Pont George Road, Croft Coch Road, Abbey Road, Pyle Inn Way and vice versa.
“Access cannot be provided through the restriction for Police, Fire and Ambulance Services responding to emergencies.
“Pedestrian access to all properties within the restriction will be maintained along defined routes throughout the period of the closure.”
