A COUPLE have been injured after a dog attack at a residential property in Blaenau Gwent. The incident was reported to police around 2:30 p.m. on Sunday, July 10.
The 37-year-old woman was attacked and suffered neck injuries. The man, aged 34, suffered an arm injury. According to police, the injuries do not appear to be life-threatening.
The road was closed for several hours, and there was a heavy police presence in the area.
Officers contained the dog on the property before removing it. It has been taken to the vet to be put down.
A spokesperson for Gwent Police has said: “We were called to a property in Llanhilleth, Blaenau Gwent, at around 2.30pm on Sunday 10 July, following reports of a dog attack inside a house.

“A 37-year-old woman sustained injuries to her neck, while a 34-year-old man sustained an injury to his arm. Neither injuries are thought to be life threatening.
“The dog was contained within the property before being taken, by officers, to a vet to be destroyed.”
