Michael Tulip contacted a woman despite being prohibited from doing so by an order imposed at Swansea Crown Court
A BORTH man has been jailed after admitting a second breach of a restraining order.
Michael Tulip, aged 59, of High Street, appeared before Haverfordwest Magistrates’ Court on Monday (July 27).
Tulip admitted contacting a woman in Borth on Sunday, July 26, despite being prohibited from doing so.
The restraining order had been imposed by Swansea Crown Court on October 1, 2025, under the Protection from Harassment Act.
Magistrates sentenced Tulip to 12 weeks in prison for the latest breach.
The court record states that the offence was so serious that only an immediate custodial sentence could be justified.
It was committed during the operational period of a suspended sentence and represented Tulip’s second breach of the restraining order.
The 12-week term was ordered to run consecutively to another sentence, bringing his total custodial term to 30 weeks.
Tulip was also ordered to pay £85 towards prosecution costs.
His guilty plea was taken into account when the sentence was imposed.
