An impressive line-up at Mwldan this March

COMING UP at Mwldan this March, they have some world-class ballet, a brand new stage adaptation of Othello, a glamorous and witty live drag show and a screening of an award-winning film.

On the March 3 and 8, Mwldan will be screening a tale of love, betrayal and redemption with the Royal Ballet’s stunning production of Giselle.

The peasant girl Giselle has fallen in love with Albrecht. When she discovers that he is actually a nobleman promised to another, she kills herself in despair. Her spirit joins the Wilis: the vengeful ghosts of women hell-bent on killing any man who crosses their path in a dance to the death.

Wracked with guilt, Albrecht visits Giselle’s grave, where he must face the Wilis – and Giselle’s ghost. Peter Wright’s 1985 production of this quintessential Romantic ballet is a classic of The Royal Ballet repertory.

Set to Adolphe Adam’s evocative score and with atmospheric designs by John Macfarlane, Giselle conjures up the earthly and otherworldly realms in a tale of love, betrayal and redemption.

Tickets are priced at £18 (£17) and are available now from Mwldan’s website or by phoning their box office between 12 – 8pm Tue – Sun 01239 621 200.

Filmed live at the Theatre Royal Haymarket in London especially for the big screen, this is ‘an electrifying star-studded Othello.’ (★★★★ Mail on Sunday)
