This delicious cake (picture above) was enjoyed by the gardeners at the beginning of year gathering on Saturday, March7. The Lemon Drizzle cake was made by Gill Shepherd who (along with her husband David) opened their three gardens for the NGS 11 times since 1998 at Glanarthen Stores, Cross Inn, Llanon then Bron-y-Graig, Llanon and latterly at Marlais, Ffos-y-Ffin.

The NGS expresses its gratitude to visitors, and especially their gardeners and volunteers who work hard to prepare for openings, serving teas and supervising car parking on the open days.
Each of their gardens is unique. Some have specialist plant collections; others are wildlife gardens or have special features appealing to children (or the child within us!). There are several with historical interest and a couple with unique animals for added delight. All provide a great family day out.
The NGS also expresses thanks to their advertisers who have enabled the printing of the 2026 West Wales Booklet (Ceredigion, Carmarthenshire & Pembrokeshire), their first Bilingual Booklet.
Ceredigion has 21 gardens opening in 2026 (including 7 new gardens), enabling 24 garden Open Days as well as 11 gardens open by arrangement for you to organise your own mutually convenient group visit.
