With the New Quay RNLI annual Christmas Fayre taking place on Saturday 2nd December and New Quay’s first ever RNLI Reindeer Run on Sunday 10th December, the elf RNLI fundraisers are busy getting everything ready behind the scenes.
Alice Coleman, RNLI’s Community Engagement said, “The New Quay RNLI fundraisers have done a wonderful job this year organising many events to raise funds for the New Quay RNLI Shannon appeal.
“Now looking at December the first event in the calendar is the popular Christmas Fayre at New Quay Memorial Hall on Saturday 2ndDecember from 10am until 12pm. With free entry and a special appearance from Father Christmas, lots of stalls with cakes, gifts and crafts, refreshments, a Christmas raffle and lots of fun and games, there is something for everyone.
“Next is our first ever RNLI Reindeer Run in New Quay. What a great way to start your Christmas – raising funds and awareness for the RNLI, whilst boosting your wellbeing, taking in the fresh seaside air in the build up to Christmas, a real community event for all.”
“Beginning with the Ysgol Ceinewydd choir singing traditional Christmas Carols on the beach, it will be a 5km fun run, jog or walk with every finisher receiving a beautiful souvenir medal.

“It’s an exciting addition to the RNLI fundraising calendar in New Quay and it will become an annual event. So please visit www.rnli.org/NewQuayReindeer for the full details and book soon as spaces are limited.
“If you can’t attend, don’t worry you can donate here https://rnli.org/support-us/give-money/give-to-a-special-appeal/new-quay-appeal.”
