AUDIENCES at Mwldan will have the chance to experience a captivating new staging of Les Liaisons Dangereuses when the acclaimed National Theatre production arrives on screen from June 25.
The production boasts an impressive cast led by BAFTA Award-winning actress Lesley Manville (Phantom Thread), alongside Aidan Turner (Rivals, Poldark) and Monica Barbaro (Crime 101, A Complete Unknown).
Based on Christopher Hampton’s celebrated adaptation of the classic French novel, the drama unfolds within the glittering salons of the wealthy elite, where reputation is everything and a single mistake can lead to social ruin. At the heart of the story is the formidable Marquise de Merteuil, a master manipulator who joins forces with the charismatic Vicomte de Valmont. Together they transform seduction into strategy and desire into a weapon. But when their alliance turns into a bitter rivalry, the consequences threaten to destroy everyone around them.
Filmed live on stage at the National Theatre, the production is directed by Marianne Elliott, the award-winning director behind Angels in America, and brings Hampton’s gripping tale of love, deception and power to life for cinema audiences.
Tickets are priced at £16 (£15 concessions) and are available now via the Mwldan website or from the box office.
