MANDY-JAYNE LACE of Accessibility Partners has been selected as a finalist for the 2025 Women Changing the World Awards in no less than six different categories.
The Women Changing the World Awards presented by Oprah Winfrey’s all-time favourite guest, Dr. Tererai Trent, celebrate and recognize women achieving outstanding success in areas such as sustainability, humanitarian work, leadership, advocacy, tech, product development, education, health and innovation. The awards are designed to recognize the growing number of women who are leading the way in making the world a better place for us all and inspire other women to answer the call to take action.
Dr. Trent explained: “These exceptional women are here to awaken hearts, give permission to recapture dreams and inspire the women of the world to come together to forge a brighter path for all. The rising of women is the awakening of everybody.”
Mandy-Jayne (MJ) Lace is a disability advocate, educator, coach and influencer. Disabled herself, she works tirelessly to foster an inclusive world.
She has spoken all over the world on the topic of inclusion, campaigned for improved services and even completed a hand-cycling marathon to raise funds to support the work of her InclUSion charity.
Soon to be qualified as a social worker, she has presented to the British Association of Social Workers on their role in inclusion and supporting people into work.
Dr. Trent’s vision for these awards is to empower women everywhere to reclaim their sacred dreams and call in women across the globe to unite and pave the way towards a better future for all.
MJ is proud of her achievements. In the last 12 months she has established Accessibility Partners in both the UK and UAE, won a Global Woman Honorary Award and worked with politicians and leaders across the world to create an inclusive world.
She said: “I firmly believe that an inclusive world is the only way to go. It’s a foregone conclusion that we are better together and this is where we want to change public opinion and prove to the world that everyone can create a life worth living by having workfulness and purpose, however they move through the world.
“We can’t be what we can’t see so for me, a wheelchair user with neurodivergence, being nominated for these six Women Changing The World awards is an important statement that we are all equally capable of excellence.”
She is committed to continuing to make an impact through her work and her vision for the future is to foster an inclusive world where everybody (regardless of their abilities and disabilities), can live and work on equal terms and with dignity.
