Third sector organisations and statutory services across Wales play a vital role in supporting older people’s health, wellbeing and independence. However, short‑term and uncertain funding undermines stability, planning and long‑term service delivery.
Age Alliance Wales’ manifesto calls for:
- Multi‑year funding settlements for statutory and third sector services
- Investment in age‑friendly initiatives and prevention
- Stronger accountability measures for local delivery
- Support for co‑design and long‑term sustainability
These commitments would enable the next Welsh Government to build a reliable, preventative and resilient support system for older people.
