A LLANELLI man has appeared in court accused of robbing a woman of her handbag and its contents.
JAKE DIGHTON, aged 31, of Bridge Street, Llanelli, appeared before Llanelli Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday (June 24) charged with robbery.
The court heard that on June 20, Dighton is alleged to have robbed Natasha Morgan of a handbag containing a bank card, house keys, makeup, and other personal items, in an incident that took place in Llanelli.
He is charged under section 8(1) of the Theft Act 1968.
Dighton entered no plea during the hearing.
The case was heard by a bench of magistrates comprising Mrs A Milward, Mrs S Mair and Ms H Davies-Parsons. The prosecution was led by Dennis Davies for CPS Wales (South West), and the defendant was represented by Jack Yelland Gomers.
The case has been adjourned for further proceedings.
