The representative says she has been told not to speak to media

A WELSH Reform UK councillor has refused to answer questions after explicit images appearing to show her surfaced on adult websites.

Sarah Lang, who was elected to represent Trevethin on Pontypool Community Council at a by-election in August, has been linked to photographs shared under the name Princess Spyderlily. The images are hosted on Fapello, a site which republishes material from OnlyFans.

Cllr Lang secured the seat with 263 votes (66.8 per cent), defeating Labour’s candidate who polled 131 votes (33.2 per cent). Turnout was 15.5 per cent.

The result was hailed as a major success by Reform MS Laura Anne Jones, who recently defected from the Conservatives. She praised Lang’s victory as part of a surge that saw Reform make 15 gains across Wales in July.

Cllr Lang first came to public attention in 2006 when she won £1 million on an ITV quiz show. She returned to the headlines last month when she joined Ms Jones on a community litter-pick in Pontypool.

Her appearance at the event, wearing a low-cut yellow top with a lace bra visible, drew widespread comment online. Some defended her right to dress as she wished, while others criticised her clothing choice for a public function. A video clip of the event has been viewed almost three million times.

When approached by the Local Democracy Reporting Service after the latest media coverage, Cllr Lang referred questions to Reform UK’s press office. She later told a reporter: “I’ve been told not to talk to journalists.”

Asked whether the reports about the photographs were accurate, or what she would say to residents who raised concerns, Cllr Lang again declined to comment and repeated that media inquiries should be directed to her party.

Reform UK has not responded to requests for comment.
