Luis Enrique, Paris Saint-Germain’s manager, ensured the team delivered a flawless performance in the final. During the match, Désiré Doué rose to the occasion, becoming the first teenager to score two goals in a Champions League final.
The runners up, Inter Milan, showed excellent consistency and strength throughout the tournament but ultimately fell short in the final, facing a crushing 5-0 defeat.
La Liga
This year it was Barcelona who claimed victory, marking their 28th title. Barcelona’s Brazilian forward Raphinha contributed hugely to the team’s success, putting in several exceptional performances throughout the competition.
Runners up, Real Madrid, led by Carlo Ancelotti, had an impressive squad who played some spellbinding football but ultimately failed to reclaim their title. It’s likely that all eyes will be on them ahead of the 2025-26 season. This is particularly the case because the squad has been overhauled and Ancelotti has now been replaced by Xabi Alonso.
