CRESSELLY moved to the top of Division 1 on Saturday (May 14) as they beat Haverfordwest by eight wickets.
Town won the toss and chose to bat but they were bowled out for just 103 as Nicky Cope claimed four wickets.
It was Dan James who made the breakthrough early on as he had Nikhil Mathias trapped leg before.
He also did the same to Ben Field soon after and when Jake Merry was caught by Alex Bayley off the bowling of Thomas Arthur, Town were in trouble on 48-3.
That became 62-4 as Ryan Lewis bowled Doug Johnson and he then made it 75-5 as he trapped James Marchant, who had hit five fours in a score of 36, leg before wicket.

Cope then claimed the first of his four wickets as he bowled Dan Field and he also had Ashley James LBW.
Johnny White was out in the same way to become Cope’s third victim and he then bowled Will Phillips, finishing with figures of 4-17.
Jack Scriven had offered some resistance with a late score of 15 but he was bowled by Charlie Arthur.
That meant that Cresselly would need just 104 to win and they made a good start in their reply with Iwan Izzard and Phil Williams sharing 33 runs for the first wicket.
Izzard hit five fours in a score of 25 from 20 balls but he was bowled by Johnny White.
Ashley James trapped Charlie Arthur leg before soon after to leave Cresselly on 47-2.
That was as good as it got for Town though as Williams and Simon Cole took Cresselly to their target. Williams finished unbeaten on 24 while Cole finished not out on 26.
The win earns them 20 points and they now sit top of the table, level on points with champions Neyland.
