Magpies win local derby

Tumble 51
Cefneithin 3

TUMBLE swept aside a plucky Cefneithin side which had no response to the home sides rampant backline, in particular four try winger Nicky Allinson.
A penalty in the first two minutes set the tone for the game and with Tumbles pack dominating, the backs were able to utilise good quick ball.

Allinson grabbed his first thanks to good work from Cory Hardy and two further tries in quick succession ended the game as a contest with only 20 minutes gone. Hardy grabbed a try of his own as he spun out of a tackle, securing the bonus point before half time.
With Tumble now dominating in all areas of the field Leighton McKenna took a quick penalty to catch the visitors sleeping and converted his own try. Steff Owen and Gareth Jones added the other tries and McKenna’s conversion with the last kick of the game took the score past fifty points giving the home side a big victory.
