Rosser sentenced to life for murder; Cullen jailed for manslaughter
TWO Swansea men have been jailed following the death of 27-year-old Joshua Norman, who was fatally stabbed in broad daylight in September last year.
Paul Rosser, aged 50, of Gendros, was found guilty of murder by a jury at Swansea Crown Court on Monday (July 7), following a full trial. His co-defendant, 32-year-old Joshua Cullen, of Waun Wen, was convicted of manslaughter.

The court heard that at 12:08pm on September 11, 2024, police were called to Cwm Road in Hafod following reports of a stabbing. Officers arrived alongside paramedics and found Mr Norman with a serious neck injury.
Despite the efforts of emergency crews, he was pronounced dead at the scene shortly afterwards.
Eyewitnesses reported seeing Rosser leaving the scene. He was located by officers and arrested on Cwm Road within an hour of the incident. He was covered in blood and had facial injuries. He was taken to hospital for treatment before being charged with murder.

Rosser was sentenced to life imprisonment with a minimum term of 18 years and 298 days.
Joshua Cullen was sentenced to eight years in prison.
Detective Chief Inspector Lianne Rees said: “Joshua Norman was only 27 years old when his life was tragically taken from him in broad daylight. Joshua was a much-loved son, father, brother, nephew and uncle. His family describe him as a beautiful person, whose smile and sense of humour would light up any room.

“His family have shown great strength and dignity throughout the investigation and court proceedings. Our thoughts remain with them, and I hope today’s sentences bring some measure of comfort.
“I would like to pay tribute to the members of the public and emergency services who tried to save Joshua, and to the police team, CPS, and prosecuting counsel whose dedication brought about today’s outcome.”
