BRITAIN’S Young Parking Professional of 2014 appeared before a judge on Friday (June 5) accused of misconduct in public office.
Katy Spain, Ceredigion’s head of parking services, attended a preliminary hearing at Swansea crown court before Judge Keith Thomas.
Her barrister, Dyfed Thomas, said she would enter a plea of not guilty at a plea and case management hearing on September 1.
Judge Thomas was told that Spain is alleged to have instructed a more junior member of staff to prepare a document to replace one that had gone missing as if the replacement was the original.
That document was then sent to a member of the public.
Judge Thomas said the charge against Spain should be reviewed by a senior Crown Prosecution Service lawyer before the next hearing.
Spain, aged 29, of Clos y Dderwen in Blaenplwyf, was granted bail meanwhile.
