Drug dealing woman jailed

Swansea Crown CourtA PENCADER woman with a history of dealing in drugs is again in jail after admitting possessing skunk cannabis with intent to supply.

Swansea Crown Court heard today  (Dec 12) how Petra Goddard, aged 29, once received a four year sentence for supplying drugs.

In the latest case Goddard admitted possessing 142 grams of cannabis with intent on June 11 of last year.

Frank Phillips, prosecuting, said police stopped a Seat being driven by Goddard on the Upper Lamphey Road near Pembroke. A passenger, Jamie Short, appeared to drop a bin bag out of a window and officers found it contained £1,400 worth of cannabis already wrapped in street deals.

Inside the car they also found £720 in cash and several mobile telephones, some of which contained text messages that clearly related to the arrangement of drugs deals.

Short, aged 31, and his girlfriend, Neiquilla Smith, aged 21, both of Alltwallis, near Carmarthen, also admitted possession with intent.

Smith also admitted a bail offence by remaining on holiday in Spain instead of attending a court hearing. She was arrested at Bristol airport on her return.

Mr Phillips said a search of their home revealed a cannabis grinder and four cannabis plants growing in a bedroom.

Short told officers later he had bought the cannabis seeds on the internet.

Mr Phillips said Goddard already had convictions for possessing ecstasy, cocaine and the animal tranquiliser ketamine and had already received two jail sentences.

Judge Paul Thomas said he wanted more information before sentencing Goddard and Short and remanded them into custody until a hearing next week.

Smith was jailed for 20 weeks, suspended for 12 months, and ordered to complete 10 sessions of a rehabilitation activity.
