
GROVE of Narberth have said that they are delighted to announce that Allister Barsby has joined their team as Executive Chef.
In a statement the company said: “Allister joins from two Michelin-starred Gidleigh Park in Dartmoor, where he has been working under Executive Chef Michael Caines since 2008, with a short spell as Sous Chef at the Bath Priory.
“Having been moulded by one of the best chefs in the UK, Allister has the experience and natural talent to transform the kitchen at Grove of Narberth. He will be working alongside their hugely capable Head Chef Peter Whaley, who was promoted from Senior Sous Chef in May 2015. Whaley joined from the Fat Duck in Bray in February 2014. Allister told The Herald: “Grove of Narberth has both the ambition and potential that will enable me to establish my style of cuisine and continue to push myself. I am really looking forward to working hard with Peter and the fabulous brigade at Grove to achieve something special for West Wales.”
Also joining the team at Grove of Narberth as their new Head of Reception & Reservations is Emma Bowen. Emma has also arrived from Gidleigh Park where she was a Senior Receptionist. The Grove of Narberth owner Neil Kedward said, “We are hugely excited to have Allister and Emma on board. Together they have strengthened our management team immeasurably which will enable us to deliver new levels of service and quality for our visiting guests in 2016.”
