Avilio partners with Aberystwyth University to support staff wellbeing and performance

A new training programme aims to boost productivity as the University rolls out its Strategy 2030s transformation plan

A PRODUCTIVITY and performance coaching provider has announced a new partnership with Aberystwyth University, aimed at improving staff wellbeing, efficiency and organisational performance.

Avilio confirmed it is delivering a professional development programme for university staff as part of the institution’s newly launched Strategy 2030s and wider transformation programme, designed to strengthen the University’s long-term position and its mission to “change lives for the better”.

The partnership focuses on providing practical training, workshops and individual coaching, helping staff develop sustainable working practices while improving productivity and wellbeing.

The programme includes training in time management, cross-functional collaboration, and the development of long-term behavioural strategies to support lasting change. Participants are supported through a combination of group workshops and personalised coaching sessions tailored to individual challenges and working styles.

Avilio said the training provides actionable techniques and methods covering 23 behavioural changes, enabling staff to perform at their best in their roles while maintaining healthy work patterns.

So far, 23 members of staff from across the University have completed the eight-week training programme.

Philippe Masson, CEO of Avilio, said the partnership recognises the close link between wellbeing and performance.

“The link between happiness and productivity is now well understood. We know that if people are happier they are more productive and vice versa. In times of change, it’s important to protect happiness and productivity, and give workers individual support to meet their challenges.

“A one-size-fits-all approach to professional training will not work. While core principles remain, each individual needs personal support to find what works for them. I’m gratified to be able to help Aberystwyth University’s team on this journey and delighted with the positive feedback from their team.”

Sharon Lilley, Chief People Officer at Aberystwyth University, said the partnership reflects the University’s wider commitment to staff wellbeing.

“We are pleased to partner with Avilio. Working with them is part of our wider commitment to help improve the wellbeing of every member of staff, so we can deliver the very best outcomes for our students and the University.”
