ANGLESEY County Council has successfully appointed four graduates through its Dyfodol Môn scheme.
Launched earlier this year, the initiative gives local graduates the chance to gain valuable work experience while studying for a postgraduate qualification.
It not only helps them develop their skills and build rewarding careers within the Council, but also supports service continuity for the future.
The new graduates began their roles on Monday (September 1), taking up positions across a range of areas including Economic Development, Accountancy and Electrical Engineering.
Llio Hughes, one of the successful applicants, said: “I was so happy and grateful to receive the offer, especially as a recent graduate worried about the next steps.

“This opportunity has given me a strong start, and I look forward to gaining valuable experience and learning in the workplace.”
“I believe the Council wants its employees to succeed and thrive, and they are committed to offering the support needed to achieve that.”
Council Leader and Economic Portfolio Holder, Cllr Gary Pritchard, welcomed the new graduates to the County Council, he said: “We are delighted to welcome these talented graduates to the Council.
“The Dyfodol Môn scheme provides an excellent platform for local people to begin their careers, develop new skills and play an important role in delivering services for our communities.”
“Supporting and nurturing young talent is a key part of our vision for Anglesey’s future. The scheme also provides a valuable opportunity for graduates who wish to return to work and live on Anglesey.”
As the Island’s largest employer, the County Council believes everyone deserves the chance to develop their skills and prosper in their chosen career.
Learning and Development Manager, Elen Pritchard, explained: “The Dyfodol Môn programme is a great way to invest in the workforce of the future. We’re proud to see four graduates take up these roles and look forward to supporting them as they progress.”
The Dyfodol Môn graduate scheme reflects the Council’s broader ambitions as outlined in its Council Plan 2023–2028, which seeks to create an Anglesey that is healthy and prosperous, where people can thrive.
The Council would like to thank everyone who applied to the scheme this year. Further opportunities will be available in the future through the Dyfodol Môn programme.
