SAM ROWLANDS, Member of the Welsh Parliament for North Wales, finds out more about wild seaweed baths at Halen Môn-Anglesey Sea Salt.
Mr Rowlands recently visited the Brynsiencyn site and had the opportunity to try out their latest unique attraction on Anglesey.
He said: “I am a big supporter of Welsh food and drink producers and always keen to hear all about new developments and this one was particularly unusual.
“I was delighted to learn more about how Halen Môn-Anglesey Sea Salt Is making use of its generated pure water and recycled whisky barrels.
“The company is now offering hot seaweed baths for a special pamper session with drinks and nibbles also brought to you while you have a soak.
“Managing Director, Alison Lea-Wilson explained all about the benefits of seaweed baths and I couldn’t resist climbing into an empty barrel to try it out.”

For hundreds of years, people have been bathing in seaweed for its nurturing, restorative and healing properties. In warm water, seaweed releases its mineral-dense oils, offering rich relaxation and soothing tired muscles.
Halen Môn-Anglesey Sea Salt is the first company in Wales to offer seaweed soak detox using the pure water generated as a by-product of its sea salt harvesting process.
Seaweed is incredibly sustainable and it doesn’t require soil, fertiliser, or fresh water to grow, and when harvested at the right time it encourages even more regrowth.
Halen Môn-Anglesey Sea Salt has eight recycled barrels with the water at around 40 degrees centigrade. They are outside to make the most of the elements and the outstanding panoramic view looking directly out to see.
