THIS EASTER, Mosaic church is celebrating all the local people they are helping out of debt.
The Christians Against Poverty (CAP) Debt Centre run by Mosaic Church in Bangor provides free debt help and budgeting support to local people. This Easter, it is celebrating all those who are working towards becoming completely debt free!
Ruth Godding who runs the Debt Centere said: “Easter for Christians is all about new life and hope.
“Many of those we support feel that their particular situation is completely hopeless before seeking help. Once they call us at Christians Against Poverty and take the first step to ask for help, there is a real sense of relief. We know that this can be a massive hurdle for so many people and anyone who takes it is extremely brave. They should be celebrated.
“This Easter, we want to celebrate everyone who has taken that step and also what they have achieved since making the first call. We know how much hard work goes into dealing with debts.
“We also want to celebrate our amazing volunteers. They work so hard to provide practical and emotional support to everyone we work with.
A former debt help client said: “For about two years I’d been getting debt letters and I’d been ignoring them. For so long I kept putting it off due to my mental health.
“Working through the process with CAP hasn’t just changed my life. It’s changed my whole mindset about income and the way money works. As I don’t have that struggle, I can focus on my mental health and that has helped me get better.”
Edna said: “If anyone in Salford is struggling with unmanageable debt, we want you to know that help and support is available through Jesus Church – and we will celebrate you throughout your journey to becoming debt free!”
