Sam Rowlands MS highlights improved services at Denbigh Hospital

SAM Rowlands, Member of the Welsh Parliament for North Wales, recently visited the refurbished Minor Injuries Unit and X-ray areas at Denbigh Hospital.

Mr Rowlands, Shadow Health Minister, joined fellow Conservatives Darren Millar MS for Clwyd West and Gareth Davies MS for the Vale of Clwyd on a tour of the new facilities.

He said: “I was delighted to have the opportunity to meet with Matron Hayley Jones who showed us round the much improved refurbished areas.

“It was great to see the work that has been done to improve MIU and the X-ray areas and chat to staff who were able to tell us more about how they will make a difference.

“We are very fortunate to have such a welcoming community hospital at Denbigh and I am pleased to see continued improvements which will ultimately help the NHS and ease pressures on our main hospitals.”

Denbigh Infirmary Community Hospital has been a feature in Denbigh for many years and offers a wide range of services including a Minor Injuries Unit and X-ray department.

It also offers outpatient and inpatient physiotherapy; occupational therapy; audiology services; a day unit and a Macmillan Unit. Staff including midwives, district nurses and health visitors are also based there.
