SAM ROWLANDS, Member of the Welsh Parliament for North Wales, is calling on people to help shape the future of public transport in his region.
Transport for Wales has launched Network North Wales a long-term investment vision to deliver an improved public transport network for North Wales and is currently running a survey asking for views from the public.
Mr Rowlands said: “As Shadow Cabinet Secretary for Finance and Transport I often raise my concerns in the Welsh Parliament about the state of public transport in North Wales on behalf of my constituents.
“I constantly receive emails from disgruntled people with complaints about the lack or poor services in the region for both trains and buses and I am a firm believer that local people’s views should be taken into account in any major decisions in their community.
“It is really important that local people have an opportunity to have their say and give TfW feedback on what is desperately needed to improve public transport.
“I would urge anyone who has a view to make sure you take part in the survey which is running until January 30.”
Network North Wales is a long-term investment vision to deliver an integrated, high frequency public transport network for North Wales connecting with Merseyside, Cheshire and the North of England beyond.
TfW is now seeking feedback from communities and businesses on the vision and public transport in the region. They also want to hear from those who live, work and travel to the North Wales region on what matters most to them.
