EMPLOYEES at Magellan Aerospace in Wrexham came together on Friday August 15 to celebrate their annual Employee Appreciation Day, combining festivities with fundraising to give back to the local community.
The day was marked by a vibrant atmosphere filled with delicious food, live music, and a highly anticipated raffle offering a range of exciting prizes. But beyond the fun and celebration, the event carried a deeper purpose — supporting local charities that make a difference in the lives of individuals and families across the region.
This year, the team raised an impressive £2,438, which will be split equally between four local charities:
- Home-Start Wrexham – Supporting families with young children through difficult times
- Your Space – Offering wellbeing services and safe spaces for young people
- Hope House Children’s Hospices – Providing care and support to terminally ill children and their families
- The Joshua Tree – Helping families affected by childhood cancer
Employees praised the event for its organisation, atmosphere, and community spirit. One team member shared: “Just wanted to say that the feedback from the shop floor has been really, really positive about the fantastic event you organised.
“It all appeared to go to plan, the venue was really nice, and the food was all fantastic — and more than we all could eat. You even found good weather for the day!”
