CARDIFF-based specialist lender Hodge has been announced as parade sponsor of this year’s Pride Cymru, reaffirming its commitment to championing diversity, inclusion, and LGBTQ+ visibility in Wales and beyond.
Taking place this weekend (June 21 to June 22) in the heart of Cardiff, Pride Cymru is Wales’ largest celebration of LGBTQ+ identity, equality, and inclusion. The annual parade transforms the city’s streets into a vibrant showcase of unity, with thousands coming together in support of the LGBTQ+ community.
This year, Cardiff-based lender Hodge is once again proudly sponsoring the parade, with many of its colleagues, friends, and allies set to join the march through the Welsh capital.
As a major employer headquartered in Cardiff city centre, Hodge’s support marks a significant moment for corporate backing of Pride in Wales, reflecting the growing role that businesses play in driving meaningful cultural change both in the workplace and in society.
Dave Landen, CEO at Hodge, said: “I am incredibly proud to once again be parade sponsor for this year’s Pride Cymru march.

“It’s unbelievable that today we still have to highlight and fight for the elimination of discrimination for the LGBTQ+ community in society. It feels that even in 2025 we need to come together more than ever to support equality across all diversities.
“Hodge and I are proud to show our unwavering support for Pride and the wider continued awareness of equality.”
Chair of Pride Cymru, Gian Molinu, added: “For many, the parade is the centrepiece of Pride weekend – an opportunity to celebrate and call for further action. It reminds us of the brave activists who started the Pride moment and honours their legacy.
“Today the parade attracts tens of thousands meaning significant infrastructure and safety protocols which are really costly. Hodge’s generous partnership with Pride Cymru ensures we can continue to do justice to those who came before us”.
Hodge’s sponsorship aligns with the bank’s wider mission to build a fairer financial future for all; a goal that includes supporting underrepresented communities both inside and outside the organisation.
The Pride Cymru Parade is expected to draw tens of thousands of participants and spectators this year, including local community groups, activists, organisations, and high-profile Welsh figures from sport, politics, and entertainment.
