A LOCAL audiologist is gearing up to take a leap of faith in support of Alzheimer’s Society.
Kyle James, 36, has committed to a skydive on August 3rd to fundraise for the charity, which is dedicated to improving dementia diagnosis rates and ensuring seamless support for those affected.
Kyle, with the support of his Specsavers Cardiff colleagues, has already raised over £400. He is determined to maximise donations in the days leading up to his jump, contributing to the charity’s impactful five-year Help and Hope Strategy.
Kyle says: “Supporting Alzheimer’s Society is important to me as people who develop hearing problems have an increased risk of dementia.
“As an audiologist, I am committed to raising awareness about the importance of regular hearing tests. Hearing loss is common with age, so it’s especially important for individuals aged 40 and above to have regular tests to reduce the risk of dementia.”
