Muffin Break to open new Cardiff Café this month

MUFFIN BREAK has announced it will open a new café in Cardiff on Friday, July 31, bringing its fresh bakery concept to Cardiff’s newly opened Bus Interchange and further strengthening its presence in Wales.

Representing a £300,000 investment, the new café will create up to 15 jobs in the local area, with recruitment currently underway. The launch will mark Muffin Break’s second location in Wales.

Part of the Foodco UK Group, Muffin Break has served customers across the UK for more than 25 years and is known for baking fresh products on site each day. The new Cardiff café will serve a menu of handcrafted muffins, cakes and savouries, alongside made-to-order brunch dishes, freshly prepared light lunch options and premium coffee made with 100% Arabica beans.

Designed as a warm, contemporary space, the café will cater for customers looking for everything from a quick morning coffee to a relaxed catch-up or lunch in the city centre.

Michael Johnson, Head of Franchise Development at Foodco UK, said: “We are delighted to be bringing Muffin Break to Cardiff this July as we continue to grow the brand across the UK.

“This new opening reflects our commitment to investing in high-footfall locations, creating local employment opportunities and giving customers a fresh, high-quality bakery café experience.

“We look forward to welcoming our first customers through the doors and becoming part of the Cardiff community.”
