FIFTEEN FEARLESS fundraisers took fundraising to new heights last weekend as they tackled the exhilarating Scale the Stadium challenge at Cardiff’s iconic Principality Stadium – all in support of the MS Society.
Braving chilly conditions and a serious dose of adrenaline, the group rose to the challenge with help from the fabulous team at Zip World. The experience began high above the city, as participants traversed the stadium rooftop with breathtaking views across Cardiff. From there, the adventure continued with a thrilling zip line ride, before finishing with a heart-pounding abseil down to the final touchdown.
Despite the cold weather, spirits were sky-high throughout the day, with smiles all round as each fundraiser completed the challenge. The sense of achievement was clear – and well deserved.
The day ended on a sweet note with cake to celebrate St Dwynwen’s Day, providing the perfect Welsh-themed finish to an unforgettable experience.
Thanks to the courage and commitment of everyone involved, the team has already raised over £9,500 for the MS Society, helping to support people living with Multiple Sclerosis (MS) and fund vital research.

A huge congratulations to all who took part – you truly Scaled New Heights for MS.
Ceri Bevan, Community Fundraiser for MS Society Cymru, said: “We are incredibly grateful to everyone who took part in Scale the Stadium.
“Over 150,000 people in the UK live with MS, with 135 diagnosed each week. MS is a condition that affects the brain and spinal cord, impacting how people move, think and feel.
“It can be debilitating, exhausting and unpredictable, often striking when people are making big life choices about careers, relationships and family.
“Every donation is helping us change lives, and the dedication shown by our fundraisers to make a difference means the world to us and the communities we serve.
“It’s heartening to see people push themselves to their limits for such an important cause. Their commitment is not only generous – it’s inspiring.”
Catherine Doherty, who took part on the day, commented: “Scale the Stadium for MS Society was by far the best event I have done for a Charity, and I have done a fair few!
“The reason I chose this event is my best friend Jess has recently been diagnosed with MS, she’s only 38. She wanted to do it but her amazing husband was a little worried so instead I did it on her behalf.
“It was fabulous, 3 events in 1! The climb over the roof and the view of the pitch from above was spectacular! Thank you so much Ceri at MS Society for all your hard work organising it and for delicious cake afterwards!”
Chloe Jo Morgan, who also took part on the day, commented: “Taking part in Scale the stadium meant so much more to us than just the challenge itself.

“We did it because my sister Katie was diagnosed with MS in July 2024, and she is also a wife, daughter, mother and niece to the family members who took part alongside me.
“It’s a cause that is incredibly close to our hearts, and being able to do something together to support the MS Society felt really important, especially given that they have already supported Katie so much.
I’ve been to the Principality Stadium many times over the years for matches and concerts, and I genuinely thought I’d already “experienced” it.
“But seeing it from that perspective was completely different and honestly incredible. Standing up there, taking it all in, really puts things into perspective.
“The weather definitely tested us, the wind and cold made it even more challenging but it only added to the experience and made finishing it feel even more worthwhile.
“It was an adrenaline-spiking, unforgettable way to experience such an iconic place, and knowing we were doing it for a cause so close to our family made it even more special.”
The Scale the Stadium challenge is part of MS Society Cymru’s ongoing fundraising efforts to support people living with MS across Wales and to fund vital research into better treatments and stop MS.
Multiple Sclerosis (MS) affects about 6,111 people in Wales and more than 150,000 people across the UK. The funds raised through events like the Scale the Stadium support crucial services and research to improve the lives of those living with MS.
The MS Society encourages everyone to learn more about MS and consider supporting the vital work of the charity. Your involvement could make a real difference in the lives of those affected by MS.
