Isaac bags brace as visitors capitalise on numerical advantage at Grenig Park
IT WAS A NIGHTMARE start for the home side as Dafen were reduced to 10 men inside four minutes against Cwm.
Defender Alex Law was shown a straight red card after bringing down Cwm striker Cam Isaac as he raced through on goal — a decision that left the hosts with a mountain to climb from the outset.
The extra-man advantage quickly began to tell. Cwm pressed forward with intent and after 15 minutes Isaac opened the scoring, rounding Dafen goalkeeper Ryan Blakeaway before calmly slotting home.
New signing Arron Jenkins was a constant thorn in Dafen’s side. The winger’s pace and tricky footwork caused repeated problems down the flank, forcing Blakeaway into a string of important saves to keep his side in contention.
Despite the setback, Dafen battled hard and managed to limit the damage, going into the break just a goal down.
However, after a competitive opening 10 minutes of the second half, Cwm took full control. Ross Morgan and Kieran Dix began to dictate the tempo in midfield, allowing the visitors to turn sustained pressure into goals.
Isaac grabbed his second of the afternoon to double the advantage before Dawe unleashed a powerful drive to make it three. Ethan Dix then rounded off an impressive second-half display with a fourth to seal a comprehensive victory.
Cwm are without a fixture next week but return to action at Grenig Park on Friday 13 when they host Llangennech FC.
