Family run fostering agency marks 10 years with celebration at Margam Park

FAMILY Fostering Partners, an independent fostering agency supporting fostering families across Wales, marked a major milestone on Friday – their 10-year anniversary. To celebrate the decade, fostering families from across Wales gathered at the beautiful Margam Park for a day of fun, entertainment, and reflection.

Since opening in 2013, Family Fostering Partners has worked alongside foster parents to provide stable, nurturing environments where children can thrive. From recruiting fostering families to providing crucial support and training, every decision and every initiative has been guided by a single goal: to improve the lives and futures of children requiring foster care in Wales.

Judith Rees, Managing Director, said: “As a family-run fostering agency, our fostering families are at the heart of everything we do.

“This celebration was our way of saying thank you for their dedication, compassion, and commitment over the past decade. We’re incredibly proud of what we’ve achieved together and can’t wait to see what the next ten years will bring.

“We also want to extend our gratitude to Margam Park, our amazing vendors, and everyone who joined us for our 10 Year Anniversary Party.

“Coming together as a fostering community is a wonderful reminder of why we do what we do every day: to help the children in our care, and the families that support them, flourish.”

In the lead-up to the event, Family Fostering Partners launched their “10 Challenges for 10 Years” campaign to raise vital funds for children’s hospice Ty Hafan and spread awareness of the need for more fostering families in Wales. The challenges ranged from sea dips and skydives to charity shop takeovers, muddy assault courses, and cycling events – all designed to raise awareness and support the important work of Ty Hafan.

Reflecting on the past decade, Judith stated: “Although the need for more foster parents across Wales has sadly grown over the last 10 years, what has not changed is our unwavering dedication to recruiting, training and supporting more foster families to care for vulnerable children.

“Looking ahead, Family Fostering Partners remain focused on one mission: creating loving, stable homes where every child can thrive.“
