A new chapter for The Dragonfly pub reopens with stunning transformation

THE DRAGONFLY in Newport, Gwent reopens its doors and launches a new menu after undergoing an extensive refurbishment.

With work commencing on The Dragonfly, the popular Newport pub has received a complete transformation with changes to both the pub’s interior and exterior and is ready to welcome back its guests.

The refreshed design honours the historic charm and scenic setting of The Dragonfly, while introducing a bright, contemporary touch to the pub.

Among the notable changes, are a refreshed dining area, revamped beer garden, the addition of a meeting room, sophisticated interiors, and plush, comfortable furniture to give the Dragonfly the perfect country pub aesthetic. The pub can host up to 104 covers inside and 100 covers outside for both lunch and dinner making it perfect for getting together with friends and family. The new meeting room area which can be hired for private events will seat up to 20 people making it ideal for business meetings, anniversaries and birthdays.

Along with a new appearance, The Dragonfly is also offering guests a taste of the Vintage Inns contemporary menu featuring an exciting selection of dishes. Guests can enjoy Signature Skewers, including Moroccan-Spiced Chicken Breast, Garlic King Prawns, Grilled Halloumi & Aubergine, and Tender Lamb Rump. For those looking for hearty favourites, the menu also includes a flavourful Katsu Chicken Rice Bowl and a classic Chicken Parmigiana.

The pub is also taking bookings via its website for Christmas Day where guests can enjoy a 3-course meal for £93 per person.

In addition to the revamped menu, Asahi lager and the locally brewed Tiny Rebel Cali Pale Ale are being introduced. The two are the perfect addition to any meal and will be just two of the many drinks available in The Dragonfly’s well-stocked bar along with cask ales, fine wines, and British gin.

The Dragonfly proudly serves as a central hub for the local community and continues to welcome furry friends, with dog treats and water available on request, making it the perfect pit stop for dog owners, before, during, or after a leisurely country walk.
