NEARLY £2m of UK Government Shared Prosperity Funding is set to go to third sector organisations to help communities in Rhondda Cynon Taf next year.
A report to cabinet on Wednesday, April 9 contains details of plans to allocate £1.8m of community grant funding in 2025/2026 for both capital and revenue to the third sector to meet the needs of communities.
There are three levels of grant which include the micro level award of up to £1,000, the lower level award of £1,000 to £10,000 and a medium level award of £10,001 to £45,000.
Applications for micro level awards will open in the summer of 2025.
A total of 203 applications were received for lower and medium level funding, with 11 ineligible applications, to the total value of £4.5m.
And 93 projects based across 118 places in RCT were either fully or partially approved for funding through the UK Government Shared Prosperity Fund RCTCBC Community Grant Programme.
