TY PENBRYN, a stunning Grade II listed Georgian mansion near Carmarthen and former home of Welsh poet Sir Lewis Morris, is opening its doors to the wider community on Saturday, March 21 between 10am to 2pm.
Owners Hanna and Ben Ballard have been carefully restoring the 11-bedroom house using local trades and suppliers, and this is the community’s chance to see inside for the first time.
On the day there’ll be guided tours of the house with stories and anecdotes about its fascinating history, use of the indoor pool and leisure facilities, outdoor games, refreshments, and local suppliers showcasing their businesses. A perfect way to mark the first weekend of spring.
Entry is free and no booking is necessary. Families are welcome, just turn up on the day.
Ty Penbryn is located at Mount Pleasant, Carmarthen, SA31 1EQ.
More details and information can be on Ty Penbryn’s website.
