CWMAMMAN United AFC Under 15s clinched the West Glamorgan League Championship at Grenig Park last Wednesday (April 16) evening. It followed a great comeback from being 2 goals down and ended in an excellent 5-2 win against their title rivals Bryncoch.
It was a second consecutive title for the team having won the Under 14s league and cups the previous year. It was also achieved with two league games still to go.
On the night it seemed that Cwm would have to wait longer as they went behind to goals from Elliot Jones and Liam Browning. Cwm then managed a goal from Sam Williams just before half time and it encouraged Cwm to take control of the match with further goals from Flynn Williams, Trammel Joseph and Riley Parkin and win the match in style.

It is another great achievement for this talented group of players and they will now be looking forward to next season as an Under 16 group.
Special praise must also be given to the Cwmamman Juniors coaches who have developed the side over recent years and to everyone from parents and helpers who have contributed to this season’s success and the team’s obvious enjoyment of playing football.
