CHRISTMAS was truly in the air at Plas Y Dderwen Care Home as residents, families and staff were delighted by a very special visit from Mr and Mrs Claus.
The much-loved festive pair, who have become cherished annual visitors to the home, spent the evening spreading joy, laughter and Christmas magic throughout the care home. Residents and their visiting families enjoyed the opportunity to meet the “real deal” Father and Mother Christmas, share festive memories and pose for photos during what proved to be a heart-warming celebration for all.
Mr and Mrs Claus took the time to visit every resident, including individual room visits for those unable to attend the main celebrations, ensuring nobody missed out on the magic of the evening. Children visiting the home were also treated to a special gift from Santa himself, creating unforgettable memories across generations.
The annual visit also supports an important cause, with Mr and Mrs Claus raising money for LATCH, the Welsh Children’s Cancer Charity — a cause close to many hearts within the home and wider community.
Residents were thrilled to welcome back familiar festive faces. The visit sparked conversation, smiles and reminiscence, with many residents sharing how much they look forward to the Clauses’ visit each year.
